In this reply to the Men's Air Max 95 360 in Black Fluorescence Green Comment by Jorge and Batista (Chem. Phys. Letters 138 (1987) 115) we show that the softness of an atom in a molecule is actually proportional to the atom's MO self-charge, as stated before. The light emission from 195 keV He+ ions excited in scattering at a (101) Ni surface is used to indicate anisotropy effects of beam steering at monocrystalline surfaces. Experiments and computer simulations give clear evidence of focusing by surface channels and of maximum and minimum critical angles for planar channeling. Synthetic proteins provide important information about the principles of protein structure. They illuminate the processes of natural protein evaluation, but are not limited by these processes. Here, we review studies of several mutant proteins and discuss the general principles that can be derived from them. Anthocyanidin-3,5-diglucosides form 3,5-di-(O-β-d-glucosyl)-7-hydroxy coumarin at pH 3–7 in aqueous solutions. The coumarin derivative was characterized by its chromatographic and spectral properties and its aglucone was shown to be identical with 3,5,7-trihydroxy coumarin.
